Prior to attending law school, Jack completed his Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) at the University of Manitoba where he received the Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineers Gold Medal.

For parts of five years, he worked throughout North and South America operating, testing and evaluating prototypical harvesting equipment for an agricultural company. It was in the midst of this work, while sitting on a beach in Uruguay and reading Motley Crue’s autobiography, that Jack decided to make the switch to law (long story).

Jack has relished his time at the Schulich School of Law in Halifax, playing ice and floor hockey several times a week, mediocrely manning the bass guitar in a cover band, and spearheading the first annual Battle of the Bands. Although separated by large distances when attending school in Halifax and working in Toronto, Jack will never stop supporting his one true sports love: the Winnipeg Jets.
