Prior to law school, Swapna graduated with distinction from the University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Sciences (Microbiology, Immunology, and Cellular Physiology).
Her interests in innovation and the law led her to working with the University of Toronto’s Entrepreneurship Hatchery to help start-ups devise IP and business strategies. During the most recent academic year, she worked as a teaching assistant in the University of Toronto Faculty of Engineering where she taught “Entrepreneurship for Engineers''. She also volunteered as a caseworker for Downtown Legal Services in the criminal and academic offenses division.
In her free time Swapna is an avid baker, hiker and weightlifter.
