Justin graduated summa cum laude from the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at McMaster University. During his studies, Justin was a research student at the National Pain Centre and the Thrombosis & Atherosclerosis Research Institute, as well as a counselor for a peer support line. Justin worked on a national medical guideline for opioids, delivered presentations at international conferences, and published several abstracts in a leading scientific journal.
At the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Justin enjoyed his time as a caseworker for both the family law and criminal divisions of Downtown Legal Services. Justin represented and advised clients charged with summary criminal offences, as well as acted on matters relating to custody, access, and support. Through Pro Bono Students Canada, Justin also interviewed and drafted affidavits for unrepresented family law litigants.
Justin loves travelling the world for food and learning new recipes. During his travels, Justin became partially fluent in Japanese while mingling with locals at izakayas and sushi bars. Justin is also an avid gamer, reaching the top ranks of several online strategy games.
