Lawrence began his post-secondary education studying math and business at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. Lawrence studied a wide variety of topics in this field, including cryptography, game theory, statistics, finance, accounting, and optimization. He is now entering his third year of law school at the University of Toronto.

As part of his co-op program, Lawrence worked in an eclectic assortment of positions in technical fields. This includes working as a laboratory technician in a research lab, a business analyst optimizing efficiency in business processes, and a software developer in the front office of the capital markets. Lawrence is excited to now be joining the Gilbert's team this summer.

Lawrence is also an avid musician, playing piano, trombone, and French horn, in addition to a two-year stint as a conductor. In his spare time, Lawrence continues development work on his personal software projects.
